TWELVE ANGRY MEN is about a Puerto Rican teenager accused of murdering his father in the early 1950s. Twelve middle-class men, all white, retire to a small, hot, soon to be smoky jury room to determine his fate. The initial vote: 11 to 1 in favor of guilt and execution. One man's "Not guilty" leads to intense examinations by the others of their innermost beliefs and feelings, along with a scathing indictment of the judicial process.
