CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG! LONDON PALLADIUM Argyll Street, London, W1V 3AB. Adrian Noble directs a cast of 40-plus in Jeremy Sam’s stage adaptation of the 1968 movie-musical by Ian Fleming. Michael Ball stars as the happy go lucky inventor Caractacus Potts opposite newcomer Emma Williams as Truly Scrumptious who, together with Potts’ two children, find themselves caught up in a magical adventure. Joining them on the Palladium stage is Brian Blessed as the highly-strung Baron, a man who will stop at nothing to get his hands on Potts’ incredible, flying car Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The show promises to incorporate some additional tunes alongside the original Sherman brothers songs, which include the numbers Hushabye Mountain, Toot Sweets, Me ‘Ol Bam-Boo and of course the memorable title song, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
